Disregard for child safety

I got fined €25 for a dirty car due to the car being coved in dog hair. Problem is that I don’t even own a dog! When I contact the company explain that I don’t have a dog and the day we rented the car my toddler was being very difficult and getting her safely secured into her car seat and to get her to stop crying was a higher priority to me then the dog hair, they don’t care and are make me pay a fine for someone else mess.
Their system is flawed. If someone has enough proof that they weren’t responsible for the mess/ damage in the car it shouldn’t be up to them to have to pay for it. In this case not even owing a dog. I hate when companies are all just about making money. My child’s safety was more important to me in this situation. If you have ever been in the car with a scream baby/toddler you know that dog hair is the last thing on your mind. Greenwheels could only respond to me with “well you should of reported it”. Super disappointed in how they handled this
