Booked Through DoYouSpain
Review over DoYouSpainAfter many good experiences with DoYouSpain an extremely disappointing one is a reason to share and to warn readers.
I booked a rental car through their platform in good faith, expecting that any issues with the rental supplier would be handled fairly and professionally. Unfortunately, when a dispute arose, I found DoYouSpain unwilling to critically assess the actions of its partner and instead relying solely on the supplier's version of events.
The issue concerned the refusal to provide a prepaid rental vehicle because the name on my credit card did not exactly match my full name as on my ID. In more than forty years of renting cars internationally, I have never encountered this problem before. My credit card clearly identifies me as the cardholder and was valid for the required deposit.
What disappointed me most was not the financial loss itself, but the complete lack of customer advocacy. A booking platform should provide added value and protection for its customers when problems occur. In my case, I felt abandoned and left to deal with the situation alone.
After reading numerous online reviews describing similar experiences with the same rental company, I expected DoYouSpain to take a closer look at the matter. Instead, my concerns were dismissed and no meaningful attempt was made to reach a fair resolution.
Based on my experience, I can no longer recommend booking through DoYouSpain. Customers should be aware that if a dispute arises with one of their suppliers, they may find themselves without effective support from the platform through which they made the reservation.
