Quite often I hire a car at the airport Alicante. For the first time I went to RecordGO to hire for 1 day without insurance. (12-05/13-05 2021). Normally spoken the car service on Alicante is great but this time it went totally wrong.

After delivering the car on Alicante Airport, the employee of RecordGO, directly walked to the car and touches the bottom of the car, as she knew that there was something wrong.. She found the ‘new’ non visible damage... it is a scratch on the bottom, what only can be felt if you touches it. As I knew that I only hired for 1 day the car, that it was impossible to hit something on the ground as I knew exactly my roads and parking. So I disagreed with the damage and requested how much it was. She replied on this approx 100-150€.

She recommended to pay it directly as it takes only 10 minutes to solve it and to get the reservation back. I agreed for that as you never know if they will charges more when you have left the country. She made the invoice of €295 and asked to pay it without showing the invoice. When I requested for the invoice she refused to show it. And she said first pay and then I will receive the invoice. Again was I disagree with that and requested for the invoice before paying. Then she said that I was needed to leave the office or she would call the police... I didn’t mind for that as I was disagreeing with the invoice and damage. I was wanted to solve it locally, but was in a rush to get my airplane...

Overall, I would that you are aware of this car trick to get money out of you, when you don’t have insurance... Never ever again RecordGO! Will definitely complain on the company and if they will charge for the trick I will make juridical steps.
