GREENMOTION? NIET DOEN!

Green Motion Corfu withheld €546 from our deposit for alleged clutch damage on a vehicle rented for just five days (July 10-24, 2025). They claimed the damage was due to "customer misuse" and stated this type of damage "does not occur through standard use over such a short rental period".

This charge is completely unjust. Our own insurance confirmed that clutch damage is considered standard wear and tear and is the rental company's responsibility, not the customer's. We caused no exceptional damage or misuse.

Adding insult to injury, the local office took advantage of a stressful situation: my wife and youngest child were dependent on their transport to the airport at the time, which pressured her into not immediately contesting the charge on-site.

Despite multiple reminders and two initial apologies and promises of a "few more days" for a resolution, Green Motion International failed to provide a substantive update for months. When they finally replied, they simply repeated the original, disputed claim that the charges are "justified and will not be waived".

This case demonstrates a clear failure in customer service, an inability to adhere to their own SLA, and a willingness to charge customers for standard vehicle maintenance under false pretenses. I strongly advise against using Green Motion.
