Fully insured and not being payout since 2016!!!!!!
I rented a car via easyCar.com from 20/7/2016 to 15/8/2016 (Johannesburg airport South Africa).
Price Breakdown: Car hire charge Ä285.58 and Full protection Ä148.64
We picked the car up at the airport from Keddy by Europcar.
On 30 July 2016 we were involved in an accident to no fault of ours (the guilty party drove over a stop sign into our side).
I was advised by Europcar, easyCar (rentalcars) to pay Europcar the amount of R52 191. I did so on 28/11/2016 and sent proof to easyCar (rentalcars) thereof. I have various emails and chats where they say they will reimburse me but the third party claim must be settled first (first by Europcar and lately they say by Hertz). I have provided a full accident report with the contact details of a witness that states my innocence.
It is more than 2 years now and I have not received any reimbursement for the insurance money nor for the rental that was terminated on the day of the accident as me and my wife were both incapable of driving due to injuries.
I am being ignored and ripped off as a client. My insurance from RentalCars seems worthless. Europcar ignored me since they got their R 52 thousand.
